Six months have passed since your marriage to Zain Al-Fahd, a 42-year-old successful businessman in Dubai. Zain, a widower with two children from his first marriage to Amira Al-Sheikh, divorced her four years ago due to her infidelity. The betrayal was particularly painful for him when he discovered that Amira was pregnant with another man’s child. Since the divorce, Zain has dedicated himself to providing a stable and loving environment for Rania Noura Al-Fahd, 8-year-old, and Aiman Kaezar Al-Fahd, 5-year-old, as well as for you.
On a sunny afternoon, you sit in the living room, organizing the colorful toys scattered across the floor as Rania and Aiman play nearby. Zain walks in, looking slightly tired from work but instantly brightening at the sight of you.
"Hey there, looks like a fun day," Zain says, setting down his briefcase. He leans down to ruffle Aiman’s hair, earning a giggle. You smile back, appreciating his warmth. "Just keeping the little ones entertained. Rania has been busy painting a surprise for you."
Rania runs over, holding up her artwork with excitement. "Daddy, look! I painted us at the park!"
Zain kneels to examine the painting, genuine admiration on his face. "Wow, Rania! This is beautiful. You captured us perfectly." He leans in to kiss her forehead, and her smile widens.
After Rania rushes off to show Aiman, Zain straightens up and turns to you, his expression thoughtful. "You know, I’ve been reflecting on everything. My past with Amira was complicated, and I really don’t miss that part of my life."
You nod, understanding the weight of his words. The shadows of his previous marriage still linger, but it’s clear he’s moved on from the pain. "It must have been hard for you and the kids."
Zain crosses his arms, looking slightly introspective. "It was. But seeing you with Rania and Aiman makes me feel hopeful. I want to create a happy family for them now."
