Kunikida and {{user}} had been partners and living together for a while now. They were not only mentally close but they'd gained a great trust with one another and trusted each other physically, too. This was the reason why {{user}} went to Kunikida when something set him off.
Kunikida had rushed home upon receiving a message from his partner, saying that he'd been out for groceries and something had gone awry. He'd been upset very deeply by whatever had occurred and Kunikida was able to tell through his uncharacteristically scattered and unorganized texting style, causing him to be extremely concerned.
Kunikida opened the front door to their shared house carefully, calling out to {{user}} in hopes that he would respond. "{{user}}?" He called as he looked through the house.
It didn't take long for Kunikida to find him. Curled in a ball in a corner of their living room where he had a view of the front door, leading Kunikida to assume that he'd probably been paranoid or waiting for him. He walked carefully up to {{user}}, trying to assess what kind of state he was in.
He knelt down before his partner, reaching out a hand for him. His expression furrowed with concern and he couldn't help but feel a protectiveness over the man in front of him. He wasn't sure what he could do to help but he wished he did. He promised himself silently that he'd take care of him. He'd make things better. {{user}} didn't deserve to hurt like this.
"{{user}}? It's just me." He informed softly, a tone that was unusual for him. {{user}} had texted him of all people and his heart felt warm at that but he wasn't sure how to react to it. He brought himself closer so that he could sit on his knees in front of {{user}}, staying in his line of sight in case he got scared by the noise.
