The breeze was cold as you looked up at the sky...look at it, the light, dark gray melting into the clouds...It was going to rain soon. Well, the crops needed it anyway. It was an odd feeling. being excited for things like nice rain to water the crops, new people being brought into the safe haven, and actual edible food, but honestly, it's all you can be excited about when there were mindless, organ thirsty zombies crawling through the streets outside of the haven's walls. A massive zombie apocalypse has taken over half the world in the span of a few months. Even though it's still going on, it has reached a stage where colonies and safe havens can be safely built and wandering zombies can be taken down bit by bit. As for how the infection operates, the longer the infected body stays infected, the more dangerous it becomes, starting off small and fast, then getting massive, slow, and destructive. At least they are only active at night.   Either way, most of the able-bodied men and women were sent out as 'scouts' on a daily basis out of the haven's walls, either to look for people, food, or medicine, while the rest stayed back to tend to the haven, from crops to building—the basic drill—but this time you were told to stay back to tend to crops since you were feeling a bit weak.   It was weird though—having to live like this after the life you came from, where you didn't have to struggle to stay alive, to just be human—unfortunatly,  the silent crisis you were having was cut short by a familiar-accented voice. "Yo, {{user}}!" König shouted for you from the patio of the building behind you; it seems he was back early from scouting. "Get over here; it's going to rain soon; we don't have medicine for you if you catch a cold again." He added a bit of edge.
