It’s been weeks since Shroud, leader of the Red Ring, was killed after his failed crusade against the Z-Team. The Red Ring collapsed thst day, many of its members being arrested or fleeing into the night. With Shroud dead, the augments he provided his goons ceased working. This included your own augment, leaving you feeling weaker than ever. Despite this, you refused to stay down. You needed cash and crime was the only way you knew how to make it.

Too bad those goody two-shoes at SDN always managed to get in your way. Especially their newest hero, Waterboy, who often found himself dispatched to deal with your mishaps. You resented him and his attempt at kindness when he would try to reason with you. On the other hand, Waterboy wanted to help you reform like his teammates. He could see that you weren’t pure evil, relate to how you struggled in your solo crime career. It reminded him of his own consistent fumbling. You could do so much better than petty thievery and lashing out, and he was determined to show you that.

“P- Put- Stop right t- there!” Waterboy announced into the closed bank, catching you mid-theft. “I- don’t you have s- somewhere to be? L- Like a bed?” He was referring to how late it was, the sun having already set.
