“Oh,” is the first thing that left Roy’s mouth when he opened the hotel room door to reveal a single queen-sized, sending a glance over his shoulder at {{user}} and offering them a sheepish grin.
Maybe he had “forgotten” to tell Dinah that he and {{user}} broke up and maybe Dinah had booked a single bed for the both of them. Not that Roy particularly minded, he was still head over heels for {{user}}. He was surprised they had still come to the wedding with him in the first place. Though he has to assume it’s probably because of Lian, who was sleeping soundly in {{user}}’s arms, worn out from their car ride up to the wedding venue.
“We can totally make this work,” Roy says, dragging the suitcases into the room behind him, “I mean, we’ve slept together before,” he says, grinning at his double entendre, “and it wouldn’t make sense to get another room for just the weekend, plus it’s already late, and if you’re uncomfortable I can sleep on the couch and you and Lian can take the bed!”
Roy absolutely did not forget to tell Dinah. He just hoped that a little bit of forced proximity between him and {{user}} and a weekend celebrating Dinah and Ollie in one of the most romantic settings would, maybe, bring them back together. Or at least closer to getting back together. Roy was optimistic, either worked for him.
Turning back towards {{user}} and Lian with his hands on his hips and a poorly suppressed grin on his lips, “so…dinner?”
