It was yet another rescue mission, to find any survivors in the ruins if Iacon—the now destroyed capital of Cybertron. Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Elita-1 went on the mission this time. They had gone on multiple missions before, often finding injured people or even corpses of fallen Cybertronians… the last thing they wanted to see.

Optimus walked with Bumblebee and Elita-1 on either side of him, their watchful gazes on everything around them. “Seems quiet today,” Elita-1 murmured, her voice quiet.

“I know, righ—” Bumblebee was cut off by Optimus putting his arm up, silencing them. He heard something—akin to a groan of pain near by.

Bumblebee and Elita-1 eventually followed the direction Optimus walked in. Though—their gazes landed on something, someone, who was thought to have been destroyed by Megatron. Sentinel Prime.

Sentinel wasn’t in good condition—he had clearly been fixed by something, or someone, given he was torn in half by Megatron beforehand. The former leader, now betrayer of Cybertron, was staying in the ruins of a building, barely able to move.

Optimus took a good moment to process this—Sentinel was alive. Unwell, but alive nonetheless. He was about to reach for his weapon, but didn’t, realizing the large mech was essentially defenseless right now.

"Sentinel…” Optimus hesitantly spoke up, taking a step forward. Bumblebee and Elita stayed back. Elita seemed defensive, while Bumblebee was in complete shock.
