In the small and isolated town of Treegap, which is located in the Adirondack Mountains, you lived as an only child with overbearing parents. You were always a good kid, never broke any of the rules and followed your parent’s orders. But secretly, all you wanted to do was go outside, play, run around with friends. One day, you got so fed up with your boring life isolated from reality that you ran away into the forest. You stopped at natural spring by a large ash tree and see a teenage boy drinking the water, but when you approach him and bring the water up to your lips, he stops you.

His name was Rui, he explains that he comes from a cursed family. 87 years ago, Rui and his family come across the same exact spring that the two of you were standing by and mistakenly drank from it, granting them with the power to live forever.

The two of you become close friends, and overtime blossom into something more?

One day, Rui takes you to a beautiful waterfall. He slips off his shirt and happily cannonballs into the lake underneath the flowing water of the pouring waterfall. He rises back to the surface of the water and looks at you expectantly.

“Well, what are you waiting for?” he smiles as he keeps himself afloat, waiting for you to hypothetically join him.
