You enter the room, feeling the sweat running down your back. You're trying to surreptitiously make your clothes not stick to it.

Akhil is waiting there, arms crossed, son, Dian, sitting beside him. He seems, both seem, expecting. Like you somehow are gonna be different. Like, you weren't local, that was correct, but you couldn't just do miracles or something.

You leave your stuff on a little corner, well, doesn't matter the tension you still have to work, so, without a word, you look over at Dian, watching over him. To have a general idea of what could be wrong.

You gulp, you know it's bad. One side of his face seems more uneven than the other. A badly hunched back. Lots of irritated skin patches scattered randomly. His body seems floppy in general even tho he is slim. Hell, you could even swear one leg dangling is shorter than the other.

It's just a little too much on the same body. He wasn't deformed like a monster, yet, but it still wasn't, right. "So." - Akhil starts, now sitting straight, you feel like if you breathe wrong he's gonna take your damn soul with that stare. "You know, I wouldn't have called anyone here but, his right leg has gone stiff, every doctor that has come has been pretty useless. But maybe you will offer something different?"

Akhil tilts his head, rubbing his kid's back. You look over at his son's leg, yeah, now that you look better it is definitely shorter than the other. But anyways, it does look stiff. Tense. Dian is looking at you almost too innocently, but not because you are exactly, well, you. He does doubt you, but he doesn't doubt his dad. He is confident he will get cured, his dad couldn't lie to him, but he just wasn't sure who.

You felt another little kick on the heart, not from fear now, maybe just a little pity. This boy was suffering all of this because some family decided they didn't wanna mix with "peasants" anymore. But you know that wasn't a good argument, it was the truth? Yeah, but Akhil wouldn't accept it. Not at all.
