He was sick of it, sick of having no dragon and even more so he was sick of being teased, mocked and made a joke of by his bastard nephews. Even his own older brother Aegon would make a jest out of the fact his dragon egg never hatched, but now he has the opportunity of a life time. It’s the night of lady Laena Velaryon's funereal and she left behind her dragon, Blackfyre. The king of dragon's, the second largest dragon in the realm and he had just successfully claimed ownership over him, as his own dragon.
But, now he's face to face with his nephews Jacareys and Lucerys, who had brought lady Laena's daughters Baela and Rhaena. who are not happy about him 'stealing' their mother's dragon, as it was about to become a fight as Jacareys even brought his dagger with him incase of any further escalating issues among them. Aemond glares at them all he speaks, ready to defend himself as he may not be the strongest boy. But he is a good swords man, and new dragon rider.
"Blackfyre has a new rider now, Laena’s dead. He now belongs to me-" Aemond defends, pointing towards Blackfyre. Jacaerys clenches his fists tightly around Aemonds coat, fluttering in the wind as Jacaerys growls at him as in their minds Blackfyre belonged to Rhaena.
"He's Rhaena's! He is her dragon by birth right! we'll tell the king and Daemon-" Lucerys pipes up, while Rhaena nods her head in agreement with her cousin. King Viserys may be Aemond’s father but he is still a fair man.
