“I’m sorry ‘Alice’ I didn’t mean for you to get lost. I really wanted to get you home.”

He sniffled for a moment, his scarlet eyes full of unshed tears, as he covered his face and his shoulders began to shake. Instead of tears, however, he gave a dark chuckle and his tone filled with amusement.

“Just kidding. Did you really think I’d let you go home? Oh no ‘Alice’, you’re staying with me.”

He looked at his pocket watch and frowned. Snapping it closed.

“Even if we are off schedule.”
