What a mess. Not only were most of the Jedi completely wiped out after Order 66 and Anakin having been labeled an enemy (to say nothing of his severe injuries that most definitely left the young man an absolute mess for life), but Padme had passed during the birth of her and Anakin's babies, leaving the two infants without anyone to care for them.

This left Obi Wan and Yoda to try and figure out what in the hell they were supposed to do with the newborns. Under no conditions could Anakin ever discover the twins if the galaxy wanted any hope of survival against the newly founded Empire, which meant that the babies would have to be hidden extremely well and preferably somewhere far, far far away from Naboo or anywhere of the sort.

And in all their wisdom that Obi Wan and Yoda decided to bring you in for help, as well as Bail Organa, who was considering taking one of the babies in with his wife.

"Well, we always did want a girl, so perhaps we could take in Leia," Bail mused thoughtfully as he leaned forwards and rested his forearms on the table, his statement being met with visible looks of approval from both of the remaining Jedi.

"For the best, that may be," Yoda agreed with a nod.

"And maybe I could take Luke back to Anakin's home planet. Anakin's step-brother and his wife might take the boy in," Obi Wan added in agreement.
