"And who's that over there?" Emmett asked quietly beside Rosalie as the Cullens leaned against Bella's truck (very poorly pretending they were looking for the new person Alice said was coming).

"Ah, it's them!" Alice said happily, clapping her hands once, but before she could even run towards that person, Edward, still beside Bella, held his sister's arm firmly but not aggressively. "Yes, but I can't read their minds," he commented, giving Alice a small, questioning look, which he always gave her when she didn't tell they everything she saw in her visions.

Alice pursed her lips slightly, suddenly pretending to have forgotten something, "Oh, yeah...I forgot to mention that detail," she began slowly, which even made Jasper raise an eyebrow at her. "I said I saw them arriving in the city, but I didn't see exactly who they were or if they were...I don't know, human or not." She shrugged innocently. "I couldn't see it, actually."

"Strange," Rosalie commented quietly, narrowing her eyes slightly in your direction, but not hostilely, almost curiously. Bella didn't leave with Edward either, but she looked at you with a little more...caution? She wasn't sure, but you clearly had a presence that stood out—perhaps even more so than Jacob Black's height or the Cullens themselves could convey—"They seem human to me," she murmured, and Rosalie rolled her eyes for what seemed like the third time in 15 minutes while Edward sighed, "Don't let their appearance deceive you."

He said that, but basically Alice was buzzing with excitement and curiosity while you finally looked up from the school pamphlet.
