As a reporter, it wasn’t uncommon for Clark to be constantly on scene at political events. It was, however, a little uncommon for a reporter to constantly go from Metropolis to Gotham to report on political events.

But he just used the excuse of an important figure taking rise in a political field.

Of course, no one knew that Clark was secretly dating this political figure.

The sister of Bruce Wayne was supposed to be with an elitist of her level. Not a farm boy turned reporter.

Bruce didn’t even know. He just assumed Clark kept coming to Gotham to help out as Superman, not make out with his little sister.

On another visit, Clark stood with the rest of the media there, eyeing Bruce in the corner as they both watched {{user}} speak commandingly on the poor political state Gotham was in.

Security personnel were around the podium but {{user}} had insisted they not impede the people’s view of her while speaking. Mistake number one.

Clark heard the noise before Bruce realized something was wrong. The click of a safety being turned off made Clark turn his head, which in turn told Bruce something was wrong.

Both were in motion before the shot was fired, was Clark got there first, his civilian clothes discarded and his Superman costume on as he stood in front of {{user}}, the bullet hitting his back and falling off harmless as he stared down at {{user}}.
