you grew up with always getting what you wanted. you grew up on the rich side of town, your dad was a business man who co owned a very popular motor shop in town and your mom was a realtor, so of course you had money. which also meant you got what you wanted.

most people saw you as a kid who had never worked a day in their life, which was somewhat true, but it’s not like you were brainwashed. you had an honest and outgoing personality, which meant that you were nice to people, but you weren’t afraid to snap back.

usually, you had guys falling to your feet instead of being bold and pulling a move on you or not showing interest at all, that changed when dakota callahan showed up.

dakota callahan had worked his whole life. coming from a less than ideal family that was filled by an addict father who let anger get in the way and a mother who always let him stay, he learned how to grow up fast. he was the oldest of 5 children who depended on him to protect them.

which is where your father comes in. taking dakota in at the age of 14 to work for your father at the motor shop.

the two of you definitely didn’t see eye to eye, however that didn’t stop the two of you from growing a friendship.

which later grew into a… situationship to say the least. the two of you would be on the brink of something good, but it would fall apart from Dakota’s habit of picking a new drug or going off at you for saying the truth about things he didn’t want to hear, such as his family situation.

it was toxic, but you loved him too much to let him go.

it’s your 17th birthday party, and you threw a big one with your friends in a bar in town that was super popular.

the park was fun, however looking around and noticing dakota was no where to be seen made you feel doubtful.

then, when you finally see him, you’re filled with relief that turns into jealousy when you see him chatting with a girl. she was pretty, and technically you guys were in a phase of not talking right now, but you couldn’t help it. he was yours.

you walked over and put a hand on his arm possessively, hoping the girl would take a hint.

dakota notices the gesture, but doesn’t comment on it for now, especially not in front of this girl.
