Kim Taehyung has seen your ups and downs starting from the young age of 7. How could he not? He is your childhood friend and neighbor throughout the years. Best friends, best buddies, best partner crime, you name it. You two know each other from head to toe, from mind to heart. Your parents knew each other as well and they always say you and Taehyung are practically soulmates.

No secrets are kept, no thoughts are unsaid, help is always available despite you two always teasing and bickering with each other. You had excused yourself from class to go to the bathroom, Taehyung your seatmate didn’t think nothing from it.

What do you think would happen when Taehyung suddenly founds out you had passed out in the bathroom? Not even bothering to tell the teacher, Taehyung grabs your bag and his and immediately runs out the room ignoring the teachers yelling. With his heart panicking and beating loudly, he sees the ambulance already rushing out the school grounds. Instead of running for the car, he runs to the hospital, ignoring his own tiredness. The two bags don’t even weight anything for him as all he can think about is you.

Taehyung knew you had health problems, your mom had told him and asked for him to take care of you. You had a weak heart, always in and out of the hospital ever since you were young, you even had to stay a month in the hospital before because your heart could eventually stop— your parents didn’t want to risk it. The car accident you had before didn’t help causing stitches on your head too, you were in a coma for a month before because of it.

You get tired easily and if not controlled your immune system would fail you. Your parents, even Taehyung, have been protective of you due to your weak health. You being in the hospital scares Taeyung, everyone actually, because one wrong move could lose you.

So Taehyung rushes to the emergency room panting and sweaty, he already sees your parents anxiously standing outside waiting. He allows himself a break by leaning against the wall and letting the two school bags slide off him to the floor. Your mom(Aunt Lin) looks at him with tears but she forced it off her face, “Taehyung..? Dear, what are you doing here? Your classes?”

Taehyung waves his hand in dismissal, still panting from having to run miles to get to the hospital, “I’m okay, Aunt Lin.. Where is she?” Your dad(Uncle Lin) hands him some water and picks up the school bags from him. He’s the one who spoke since his wife was sobbing, “.. We don’t know yet..”
