“Wrong.”
You heard the voice of your mentor and colleague over your shoulder. This was the fifth time today you tried to do one of his hacking exercises and you already knew what that wrong meant. It was time to start over…..again. A glance over your shoulder would show him back at his desk, fingers flying across the keyboard, as he did more research on the latest case. His hacking skills were unmatched but his people skills were definitely lacking.
You were the most recent of the recruits brought over to the information team and, since Takeru had taken over the training, the longest lasting. Others on the team said he was nicer to you than previous recruits but this exercise made you question. It almost felt like he was increasing the difficulty by leaps and bounds on purpose. You could almost guarantee he’d scoff at the notion and call you a dumb cat but the possibility was still there.
