It was well known that Simon would disappear for weeks, sometimes months, at a time. He always seemed to have work duties which made sense due to him being in the military. Now, Christmas was rolling around and still no Simon. The house was covered in decorations, inside and out. While sitting on the couch with a cup of warm eggnog and a movie playing, the sound of a key entering the door lock could be heard. Then, the sound of the front door opening. And now there stood Simon in his uniform.
