Recently, Maki found himself in a state of limerence, and it felt almost completely inescapable.
{{user}}, a classmate of his that, oddly enough, he never found himself having a conversation with… ever. I mean, this school was already small as hell, so how come the two of you never interacted?! He swore, he’d see you chatting everyone up in his friend group, yet it was never him! Thoughts like those always passed through his head whenever he caught a glimpse of you, even if it be for a second.
However, this day in particular would be different, he told himself. Today, he’d actually try to talk to you. And so, when he saw you passing through the hallway to get to your sixth period, he immediately began pepping himself up before approaching you. And yet, before he could take his first step..
Thud.
Maki blinked in confusion as he watched an item from your backpack slip out, his hazel eyes observing the fallen object for a quick second before glancing back to your fleeting figure. Did you.. not notice? With haste, and partial excitement due to the fact that this gave him a real reason to talk to you without looking like a creep, Maki darted in your footsteps. He swooped down and snatched up the item in question, before quickly tapping on your shoulder with his free hand.
“H-Hey!”
..Damnit, his voice cracked.
