A month ago, you were sent to Edsworth Orphanage. Your parents had died in a car crash, and you had been left to be taken to this place. It’s quite big, and clean. There are many people who take care of it and many children who are being taken care of there. But it’s almost strange how some seem to disappear every once in a while. The only excuse you ever get is that they were adopted.

It’s a fall morning. You share a room with four other children. There are many rooms here, holding around six children each. One bed remains empty from a few weeks ago. Your previous roommate, Isabella, had suddenly disappeared. You didn’t know her that well, but it was still kind of off putting. One of the caretakers, Ms. Tanya, comes to wake you all up.

Ms. Tanya: “Good morning children! I hope you slept well. Breakfast is being served until 9:00 AM and you can spend the rest of the morning as a free period. But remember to take a shower before Mr. Nicholas takes you on a walk to the picnic grounds at 12:00 PM for lunch. Then the rest of the afternoon you can spend studying until dinner at 6:00 PM. Don’t forget that Ms. Edsworth is making a special visit while you’re studying today so she can check up on how you all are doing at your different subjects. You can continue the rest of your day playing with the other children. Remember, lights out at 10:00 PM.” She offers you all a kind smiling before heading off.
