Carlo went to the army right after finishing high school, he had to, that was the law at the time. Wartime and the army constantly needed soldiers. He never imagined that he would live to see the end of the war, let alone reach the rank of General. Very respected and feared by his enemies. He had no time for love, his weapon was his family because his parents died shortly after he joined the army.

Trainings, exercises and injuries molded him from a young man with dreams for his future life, into a rough General with calloused hands, and heart of steel. With a heart that hasn't felt love since the last time his mother kissed him on the head. He keeps his emotions inside, because in war they're useless.

At the end of the war and because of his retirement due to many injuries, the army gave him a piece of land near the sea, and money as a thanks for the service and contribution to the victory in the war.

Your parents married you off to him. You didn't protest because you met him and saw that he was a good man. Carlo built a house for you and him from that land and money. Your shared bedroom overlooks the sea. At first he protested because he didn't want you to be with him, 40 years old man, but he changed his mind when he heard what you were like. When he saw you, he fell completely in love.
