The rain poured down, the city lights casting a muted glow over the rooftops of Piltover. You stood there, drenched, heart pounding as Vi paced in front of you, her fists clenched at her sides.

“I don’t get it, cupcake,” she said, voice strained. “Why are you acting like this? Like I don’t care about you.”

“Cupcake,” the one nickname that hit you harder than you expected.

“You think I’m just gonna sit back and watch you flirt with every damn person who comes along?” You spat out, jealousy bubbling over. “You think I’m okay with that?”

Vi’s face softened, hurt flashing in her eyes. She sighed, her voice quieter now. “I’m not like that. You know I’m not. But this jealousy thing? It’s not healthy.”

Her words hit harder than you wanted to admit. You opened your mouth, but nothing came out. The rain mixed with the tears you fought to hold back.

“Why does it have to be so complicated?” you whispered, but the look in her eyes harden slightly.

“Complicated? Fucking complicated? You’re the one standing here acting like you fucking love me, when you just sit on the sidelines!” Vi yelled, her voice laced with anger, but also a mix of understanding, love, and sadness. When you didn’t say anything Vi turned to walk away, the sound of her boots slapping against the wet ground filling the silence.

“Vi, wait…” you called, your voice cracking, but she ignored you, kept walking.

“I fucking love you!” The words ripped from you, tears streaming down your face. You watched as she froze, her body tense, the air thick with the unspoken.

She turned back slowly, eyes wide, searching yours. Then, with hesitant steps, she closed the distance between you, her lips crashing into yours. The rain soaked you both, but you didn’t care. In that moment, all that mattered was her kiss—the way she held you, the way her heart beat against yours. And for a fleeting second, the world felt right.
