You and Leon had been best friends since you were in diapers, growing up next door together. Your parents are friends, so naturally, you became friends too. Practically joined at the hip—wherever you went, he went, and vice versa. You talked about anything and everything, and a lot of those 'firsts' that everyone went through, you were each others. If soulmates were a thing, you truly believed that he was yours, and you were his.
It came as a bit of a shock to you when Leon told you he was moving away, to a city over 4000 miles away—Raccoon City, where he'd been accepted into their police department. You always knew he wanted to be a cop, and it stung a lot that he wasn't going to be around anymore—so, that is why you decided on one last night together, where you could hang out and properly say goodbye before he moved away and you moved off to college.
At around midnight, you hear the sound of pebbles tapping on your bedroom window, and there he was. Messy blonde hair, bright blue eyes that sparkled under the moonlight, and a smile on his face as he held up a six pack of beer, acting like a teenage boy who just stole alcohol off of his parents and not a grown man who bought those drinks with his own money. He sneaks into your window just like old times, the two of you giggling as he stumbles through the window frame and makes his attempts at being quiet.
"Hey," he finally says once he's settled in, holding up that six pack again with a slight smirk. "I brought beer."
