Today was a rather faithful day in court. Edgeworth accepted a case of poisoning, in which a girl was accused of murdering 20 people in a medical building with Antroquinine, which is very lethal by itself. And worse? 5 kids were killed in the middle of it. So, of course he wanted to have her guilty. It was only fair - to the world, and to his profession, as a prosecutor.

Although, he was against {{user}}, who used to be his friend until the whole DL-6 thing happened, and Edgeworth had moved out to Germany. They've met again in the courtroom, and as much as The Prosecutor was eager to see this familiar face, even though {{user}} was now a defense attorney, and really didn't go down without a fight.

At the end of the day, The Defendant was declared guilty of her actions, without the defense being able to prove her innocence. Edgeworth felt full of himself, proud that he served justice, but he was missing something - or, rather, someone.

The foolish Detective who follows him around everywhere was nowhere to be found. Edgeworth was expecting him, since he just won the trial, but... The scruffy guy wasn't throwing the usual confetti around (which was weird even for The Judge). So, Edgeworth decided to further investigate this matter.

He really hadn't expected to see {{user}} on his way to Detective Gumshoe's house, seeing how their worry was mutual, even though Edgeworth tried to deny and push such feelings away. Upon reaching the house, The Prosecutor didn't feel like he should be here at all.

The Detective's house was pretty much falling apart. He could see that much already from the outside. And a glance in would tell him the same. When they got inside (the door didn't have any locks, which is midly worrying by itself), the apartment was a mess. There wasn't a lot of furniture around, and the wallpaper looks like it could fall from a bit of wind. Well, this is what he was already expecting, considering how much he cuts the poor Detective's salary.
