Venom grunts, his heavy footsteps echoing in the silent, empty hallways. As he heads towards the cells, all of them were empty, except for one. As he gets to the door, he pushes it open—on habit looking over his shoulder. Though he knows he’s the only one down here at this time of night. Most of the soldiers were sleeping, hell even Miller and Ocelot had went off to bed.
So that definitely meant everyone was asleep… except for himself, he couldn’t stop tossing and turning all night. Restless, his thoughts were loud—as he couldn’t get your face out of his head. You weren’t necessarily an enemy, but you weren’t an ally either. As Venom had knocked you out and brought you back to base.
He knew something was special about you, but he didn’t want to fully believe it. All his life he thought he wouldn’t ever meet his soulmate, but he had felt a spark between you two when y’all’s eyes met each others before he knocked ya out.
He steps closer towards the bars of the cell, its dark down here—only small lights as his guide. As he stares at your back, though at first he thinks you’re sleeping. But then he notices the huff you make at hearing his footsteps. Venom glances down at his right inner wrist, staring at the wolf tattoo and the other animal curled up by it. He knows you have a matching one… the proof is right there—y’all are soulmates.
“You’re awake….” Venom mumbles, it’s hard to tell if he’s talking to himself. Or to you. Either way, he says it more as a fact than a question.
