Donnie sat up and stretched after being hunched over his desk for hours. He'd prefer to keep working but he was getting a little low on materials. He checked the time, figuring that he could manage to go out and gather some metals before dinner. Outside his bedroom, he could see his dragon, Galileo, waking from his nap, sensing that they might be heading out.
Galileo raised his head, letting out a yawn that rumbled like thunder. He turned his gaze on Donnie through the window, his voice reverberating in Donnie's head. "I told you your metal supply was getting low, but nooo, you couldn't possibly go out to restock until you were out."
Donnie rolled his eyes at the obvious sarcasm. "Don't get sassy, Gali. I just... didn't want to go yet."
The dragon snorted. "Procrastination: the enemy of progress. I thought you were smarter than that, but it appears this was a rare case where I was wrong."
Donnie huffed and stepped outside. He glared up at his dragon, crossing his arms. "Keep talking like that and I won't let you eat even a little of the metal we find."
