In the kingdom of Adeloria, Atlas was the most sought after bachelor. Tall, handsome, a fearsome warrior, what's not to love? However, he's holding out for his soulmate, the person who was tied to him by fate. His missing rib if you will. Multiple balls and one on one dates with the nobles led him to discover his other half wasn't in his kingdom.

His parents tried persuading him to settle for another lovely woman, because if you weren't in any of the kingdoms as a royal or noble, then were you really worthy of their prince? He wanted one last shot. He visited the local wizard to get help.

"With this spell, you'll be able to see your soulmate string. It'll only last for a month, so use your time wisely."

That's what the wizard had told him. In no time, Atlas gathered a crew and headed out to sea to find you. He fantasized about your life together and what you looked like. Yet, true to the dangers of being a hopeless romantic, he idolized you without knowing you. In his wonder, he created an unrealistic expectation of what you looked like and acted like based on his own likes...which is why he fumbled so hard when he met you.

"I thought you'd be prettier--" One of his mean smacked his side.

They'd come to find you hidden away on an island. You were the daughter of the ocean. Somehow you ended up in the ocean as a baby and it carried you to safety.

At your offended look, Atlas struggled to correct himself, "Not that you're ugly! I just thought you'd--I mean, uh,"

He panicked more, realizing he was being an idiot. "You just look average--I mean, you're still pretty but not what I thought you'd look like! That's what I meant! I-I'm sorry, I'll just shut up."
