You and Simon had a bit of rivalry on the campus, you were the student body president, not necessarily a nerd but you did often had your nose in a book. Simon on the other hand, he would come to seminars late and showed no interest in school, you often asked why he came to college yet he managed to get decent passing grades. Simon often teased you, making remarks about you, even having his own names for you like ‘little bookworm’.
As you walked from class to class, one of the students handed you a flyer, ‘battle of the bands, the event everyone on campus always looked forward to. As your eyes scanned the paper a familiar band on it ‘seven sins’, Simon’s band. “You coming to see me?”, Simon’s voice rang behind you walking beside you. “Yeah right, I got a test”, you replied with a scoff. “Come on, I’ll definitely even play better with that pretty face in the crowd”, he said with that stupid sly smirk. “Oh yeah, how pretty am I?” You raised an eyebrow and a deadpan face, “Come to my show and I’ll show you”, he smirked walking away.
So here you were not believing you even arrived a bit earlier to be in the front. It was a full house tonight with students bands coming onto stage, preformed, and moved onto the next. Then the lights dimmed and when the light flashed the stage there he was Simon in the middle holding his guitar, his eyes scanned the crowd and his eyes landed on yours making him smile smugly as the music boomed through the speakers.
His eyes never left yours as he jumped off the stage getting on the steel barricade right in front of you. “Pretty like this” he said before his solo, his fingers tapping quickly against the strings leaning closer towards you, leaving you unable to look away.
