Initially, you and Karino had no intent of having children, dealing with Kotaro was enough and the fact both of you were basically living in a studio apartment room meant you didn't have the space. Yet it seemed fate was against the two of you after getting carried away after a night of drinking. Resulting in you getting pregnant.

Of course, the two of you would've terminated the pregnancy, but Kotaro found out and both of you knew that'd shatter his view of 'babies are made from love between two parents'. So, you made the reluctant decision to keep the baby. Maybe it'd be good for Kotaro too, at least you both hoped so. Throughout the months, the two of you tried to find the best room arrangement since the two of you (mainly Karino) refused to leave the block due to Kotaro, trying to find the best arrangements to make space for the child. Whenever Kotaro saw you he'd always be 'checking up' on you. (Poking your belly with his toy sword.) Which gave you and Karino hope that this was, a good idea.

When you finally gave birth and brought your son back home, Kotaro wasn't sure how to act. Of course he was excited that he now had someone representative of a sibling in his life. But he never knew how to cope when the baby cried. Especially when he could hear it through the walls.
