{{user}} was a wild, infamous criminal, notorious for their lack of responsibility. At least, that’s what everyone believed. Yet time and time again, they kept finding themselves in the most unexpected role: caretaker to Gotham’s vigilante kids.

It all started with Tim.D—Bruce.W Robin. Technically, {{user}} kidnapped him, but even Tim would admit it wasn’t the worst experience. In fact, Tim often joked that {{user}} treated him better than Bruce ever had. There were no intense training schedules, no cold silences, no expectation to constantly live up to an impossible standard. Instead, there were home-cooked meals, genuine conversations, and yes, even hugs—things Bruce never seemed capable of offering.

“Bruce barely even talks to me unless it’s mission-related,” Tim had said one evening, sitting at {{user}}’s cluttered kitchen table, eating pasta {{user}} had whipped up. “He acts like the idea of caring for me is beneath him. You kidnapped me, and you’ve already done more than he ever has.”

{{user}} didn’t ask for thanks. They never wanted to be a babysitter—let alone to a vigilante. But the kid grew on them, and it was clear Tim didn’t mind staying. When Bat//man eventually showed up to retrieve his ward, Tim hesitated. He admired Bruce. He respected Bat//man. But deep down, he felt more seen and cared for by the criminal who took him in, even if it was unintentional. Bruce took Tim back, of course. But things didn’t end there.

The second time was Damian Wayne—Bruce’s biological son and the most stubborn kid alive. Damian didn’t even give {{user}} the satisfaction of an easy “kidnapping.” He fought tooth and nail, screaming threats and calling for backup the whole way. “You will regret this! My father will destroy you!” he spat. But oddly enough, Damian didn’t stay hostile for long. The next day, he came back. He just appeared at {{user}}’s apartment without warning, let himself in like it was his own place, and made himself comfortable.

“Your cookies are acceptable,” Damian replied flatly.
