Although she continuously insists the opposite to anyone who asks, Calypso does find her tranquil island to be… too tranquil, at times. Too quiet, too peaceful. The peace is nice, yes, but it gets annoying with the same surroundings and the same noises every day and every night.

Of course, even with Lord Hermes visiting her every now and then, nothing is the same as the few years would pass and a one of the heroes would show up randomly, unannounced, on Ogygia. They would stay for a while, just enough so that she would catch feelings, but then they would leave her. Again. The same routine over, and over, as it has been for millennia, and as it will continue.

Calypso tried to get her expectations to die down every time one showed themselves, but they always were shot right back up as soon as she saw them.

Needless to say, the same happened with you. As soon as she realized a new hero had shown up, she made her way to the beach. She prepared her greeting, as per usual, but was taken aback by the sight of you. You were a woman. All of the heroes past had been men.

“…Oh,” she hummed, blinking as she saw you on the sand. “You’re not like the other heroes. What happened to bring you to my island, my lady?”
