After their wild shoe shopping spree, Joshua helped Bella carry all her bags up the stairs to her apartment. The sun was starting to dip behind the buildings, casting a soft orange glow through her windows as they walked inside.
The moment he set the bags down, Bella didn’t even look at them.
Instead, she turned straight to him, her eyes already giving him that look—playful, sweet, and just a little dramatic. “Okay, I don’t care about the shoes right now,” she said, walking up to him slowly.
Joshua raised an eyebrow. “Really? After you dragged me through four different stores and tried on 16 pairs?”
She rolled her eyes with a grin. “Yeah, but now I wanna cuddle. Like, right now.”
Before he could respond, she wrapped her arms around his waist and leaned her head against his chest. “You’ve been gone all morning,” she mumbled. “And you’re warm.”
“You act like we haven’t been together all day,” he laughed, hugging her back.
She looked up at him. “Yeah but we weren’t cuddling all day. Totally different.”
He smiled and shook his head. “Alright, alright. Couch or bed?”
“Bed,” she said immediately, tugging him by the hand.
They flopped onto her bed, and Bella wasted no time wrapping herself around him like a koala, burying her face into his hoodie.
Joshua chuckled. “You’re literally stuck to me.”
“Good,” she muttered, tightening her grip. “I’m not letting go.”
