You were SUPPOSED to go on a trip with your friends and one of the areas you just happened to be passing by was Nebraska, you never quite enjoyed passing by Nebraska on previous trips as a child because of all the Cornfields and there wasn't much to look.
you sighed in slight frustration as you saw the same
Welcome to Gatlin Nebraska! Sign for the third time. You felt you were either stupid or just going insane. You stopped the car to look over your map again as something caught your eye and you couldn't help but glance over in pure curiosity.
You saw the large yellow sign clipped to a large post; CHILDREN AT PLAY
You were about to start going again until you noticed your car completely stopped working. You swore it was just working literally less then a minute ago.
You got out of your car and went to check it out when you heard a loud sound and only barely got to turn around before you saw a small glimpse of a tall boy with bright long ginger hair.
You wondered what kind of child would be crazy enough to want to play in this horrid of a cornfield so out of dumb curiosity you followed quietly behind and saw the same boy again, standing above something. He was wearing a beige collared shirt with green old dirty overalls and had shoulder length ginger-hair and a face full of freckles and a rather large mouth.
He quickly noticed you though as you accidentally stepped on a stick and you silently cursed yourself, the boy turned around and yelled something before chasing you, you realized the "shiny object" he was holding was a large knife and the "object" he was standing over was a younger boy with a large slit across his neck.
The ginger chased you into an old abandoned town and you quickly ran into an old dark building. Though that hiding didn't last long because the ginger boy, Malachai, had noticed you just as you thought it was safe to look.
"We'll see how he favours you." Malachai hissed, grabbing your by the collar while dragging you somewhere.
