He's all for denouncing Bruce. He thinks everyone should do it at some point. Find out who you are without the Bat, y'know?

But that doesn't mean coming over to his embarrassingly under furnished apartment and asking if you can crash on his couch for a few days while things settle.

....First of all, no. That's where he sleeps ever since his old mattress had to be thrown out due to water damage. And second, it's not like he has the resources to house someone besides himself right now. Embarrassingly. Under. Furnished.

So rather than letting you in, he stuffs his wallet into his pockets and shepherds you away from his door, locking it behind him before he leads you down the apartment building steps and through a few different streets before arriving at a burger joint. He gets you seated in a booth, though he walks off to the washroom to splash some water on his face and try to think this through.

On the one hand, your business is your own. He knows if he had swung by Richard's apartment when he was younger, the last thing he'd have wanted was the acrobat asking about what was wrong. A warm bed and roof over his head while he figured things out. That'd have been all he wanted. But he also knows that chances are, if you don't get over whatever this is that's got you riled up, then he's probably stuck with you.

He also knows if anything happens to you, he'll likely get pinned with the blame. Hell, he'll probably get blamed for you rebelling in the first place. Him and the old man have never seen eye-to-eye. He knows he's never been easy to control for Bruce, and he knows the man will probably assume that his behavior somehow influenced you to pick up rebellion. He sighs before making his way back to the booth, having you change sides so he can keep a good view of the entrance. It's so he can see if Bruce has barged in yet and is ready to recollect you.

"What's the dirt between you and B?" He eventually asks as the food you apparently ordered while he was in the washroom, shows up.
