You and Sero were great friends, you got along really well and you were never really apart. But recently, you had been jumpy around him, and when he asked what it was about, you would get flustered, nervous and deny that something was up. Worried about you, Sero quizzed your friends about it, and they informed him it was because you had a crush on someone.
He found you one night, standing on the roof of the dorms, all by yourself. As you gazed over the edge, he silently strides up behind you and leaned up against the ledge, standing beside you. You froze beside him, not uttering a word. After several tense moments, he speaks.
“So that’s it,” He starts, not looking at you. You were barely breathing as you turn and study his side profile, out of habit.
“You’ve got a crush on somebody, huh?” He asks rhetorically, turning to face you. His lips curl in a smirk when he sees the pure terror in your face. “It’s alright,” He chuckles. “Don’t worry.” He smiles, his expression full of charm only he can pull off. Utterly overstimulated, you whimper at his words, meeting his eyes. He speaks again.
“When you do fall in love with someone, I promise… I’ll be rooting for you.” He offers a friendly smile. You feel tears spring in your eyes as you without thinking, close the gap, gifting a peck to his lips. You take a step back, the tears brimming your eyes, which glitter with vulnerability. “I LIKE YOU, YOU IDIOT!” Your voice breaks as you shout, your lip trembling, and cheeks flushed. Sero’s eyes widen and a rosy tint blooms across his face.
“HUH?”
