    Redecorating:

Simon had a bad habit of keeping things simple. I mean hey, it’s not a bad thing… most of the time. He likes his coffee black, his clothes folded neat with military precision, a daily schedule he does not veer from.

    You are the opposite.

Chaos incarnate. A colorful barrage of sparkles and fluff. Extra sugar and cream in your coffee, clothes tossed in drawers because they’re going to be worn anyway, and a flexible schedule because, hey, goat yoga at 3pm sounds fun.

Despite the astronomical differences between you two somehow, someway, you’re drawn together. Simon needs a little color and chaos in his life, you need a little quiet and order in yours. So when the day came that you were finally allowed to visit Simon’s flat you weren’t shocked by the lack of personality at all..

“Is this really how you live? It looks like a jail cell in here.” You say with mock disbelief as you walk into the near bare living space. A few pictures here, a book there, but that’s it. No throw blankets, no decorative pillows, no cute little trinkets to spice up the place.

“All I need are the essentials, everything else is clutter.” Simon says with a quiet deadpan voice as he moves past you into the kitchen. You follow with a sigh as he puts the kettle on.

“We’re going shopping. You need some personality outside of work… and maybe the color red.” You smile as you take a cup from his cupboard.
