You always felt like you were third-wheeling every single date between your best friend Phainon and Mydei just because Phainon always insists that you be around because you’d be quote-unquote, ‘lonely without their best friend’. Which, to be fair, wasn’t entirely false, but still.

Not like Mydei minded, of course, knowing you wouldn’t dare steal Phainon from him and whatnot. Although the two do like to just randomly tease you from time to time, leaving you absolutely bewildered, to which they laugh at.

“You should’ve seen your face!” Phainon wheezes, giving Mydei a peck on the cheek while grinning like the cat that got the cream. Mydei muttered something about you being too much of a denser person than he’d thought before the two continued on their patrol around Okhema- but it was turning out to be more and more like a date for the two of them, if you were being completely honest.

They were keeping a big secret from you too— the both of them were technically crushing on you— hard. The only reason they ever got together in the first place was actually because you’d caught them in the act of arguing about, well, you, but you thought they were actually secretly in love, so that backfired really quickly.

Phainon was slightly ahead since technically you guys were friends, so there was that. As well. That was honestly why he kept inviting you over, as if to show off that he had an actual relationship with you, as you didn’t know Mydei too well. “Oh, right, {{user}}, could you…c’mere for a little? I wanna tell you something secret.” Phainon turns, unlinking his hands from Mydei’s for a moment.

From where you were standing, Mydei looked…jealous, almost, a competitive flare sparking in his eyes. “Deliverer. Can’t this wait?” Mydei growls, almost like…he knew what Phainon was about to say.
