Bruce couldn't understand whatever attraction he had for you, he was too much of a workaholic, and you were.. an intern for his law firm.

It was annoying for you, every time you had to do these miniscule tasks instead of getting actual experience for your law school application. Get him coffee, print some documents, get the papers he placed god knows where in the building; hardly has he ever included you in the cases that would look perfect on your resume. It's not like Bruce wanted to ruin your chances to get into law school, he'd pay for it anyways, and it's not like you were taking the workload off of him either, he didn't want to willingly indulge in this little crush of his; but- he just wanted to see you a little during the day... was that so wrong?

Sure, 2 months ago he promised you that he'd let you work on a case with him, eventually, 3 huge cases came and went and you didn't even get a single say on it. But Bruce knows, he KNOWS he'll probably get too tired staying up on a dumb case and he'll probably confess these dumb feelings that had a hold on his heart. But today was the day that you were going to ask- no, you were going to demand on working with him on a criminal case that you were determined to be involved in.

Bruce already expected you, he knew how often you kept tabs on the cases he either accepted or rejected off a whim. If he even bothered to entertain your wishes, he knew late nights together in the office would be the new normal for the next few weeks; if he waved you off like all the other times, it may work, if he wanted to take that chance.

Before you even had the chance to get a word out, standing in front of his tired figure that wanted nothing more than coffee in his system, he placed a hand up.
