How did he lose track of you?
You should have been his first priority. And you were, he swears to god you were. That he was watching you every second of every day, more than usual since he found out about Vecna and everything that has been going on. Making sure you never leave his side even for a single moment.
And the one time you did leave his side, wandering into Eddie's trailer when he was talking with everyone about what is going on, something happened...
The gate on the ceiling opened up when you stood underneath it. Bat-like creatures coming out of it, their claws and teeth digging into your body as they dragged you through it. The fleshy gate closing behind you... leaving you trapped in the Upside Down.
Steve, on the other hand, immediately started to panic. Him and the rest of the party looking around everywhere in the trailer park with no sign of you only fueling his worry. Nancy eventually insisted that they just go back to her house and regroup, try to think about what could have happened to you and calm down a little.
Now in the Wheelers basement, Dustin is messing with his walkie-talkie, when he gets a garbled transmission. Steve immediately turning to him with wide eyes
"Stop. There."
Your voice comes through the walkie talkie, albeit garbled by static and quiet, though your terror is still audible in your tone as you speak the words-
"Steve? Steve... someone, anyone. Help me... Steve please... Steve..."
It is obvious you are crying as well...
Everyone looks to Steve, who looks like a deer in the headlights. His eyes wide, looking like they are brimming with tears, and his skin pale.
"W-what do we do...?"
Robin asks.
