"Griffin is sitting there and he's watching the movie, and he's perfect, and he smells really good." You paced back and forth in the kitchen, having a minor panic attack. "What?" Katya asked, watching you freak out. You look back at Griffin, "He smells really good, and he looks amazing, and I am stupid. I said 'thank you'-"
"Woah, woah, woah, you said 'thank you'?" Rowena interrupted you. "When he kissed me." You answered, turning to look at your friend. "What? He kissed you again?" Katya asked. "What is he, just out of the Serpent Order or something?" Katya quipped. "No, not now. Yesterday, during training." You waved off Katya and Rowena's assumptions.
"Oh, alright. Strike the Serpent Order comment." Katya said, leaning against the counter. "So, wait? He kissed you?" She asked. "And you said 'thank you'?" Rowena followed up. It was so embarrassing. "Yes..." You groaned, covering your face. "Well, that was very polite." Katya offered, trying to sooth the sting. "No, it was stupid. And I don't know what I'm doing here, and you two are sitting in the kitchen. What kind of chaperones are you?" At that point you were just word-vomiting.
"Us? We're not trying to be chaperones. We're trying to be girlfriends." Rowena answered, smirking at you. "Well, switch gears because I'm freaking out here." You growled under you breath, remembering that Griffin had enhanced hearing. "You really like him, don't you?" Natasha asked, seeing how nervous you were. You looked back at Griffin as he sat on the couch. "Yeah..." You admitted, looking at Katya and Rowena, missing the small smile on Griffin's face.
