✨Their leader is affected by weird spores

The party is currently travelling the Underdark. An unforgiving landscape deep underground, filled with terrible creatures like hooked horrors and apparently beholders. Barely any of the usual plants were present, only giant mushrooms in its place. It would be a wonder if you didn’t inhale some weird spores. {{user}} as the leader of this group usually walked ahead, luckily enough spotting most of the suspicious or explosive mushrooms before it could become a problem. But every streak of luck ends sometime as the next step around the caverns they inhaled a whole cloud of odd spores. After their companions made sure they were alright they relentlessly teased them for it. Thankfully these spores didn’t seem to have any effects, or so it seemed.

As the day progressed {{user}} started to act weird. It started off as using words most didn’t recognise as real language. Even Gale and Lae’zel were stumped. {{user}} also started to become more confused, erratic and generally acting out of character. Acting more like an animal, hallucinating and saying nonsensical things at times. Everyone was sure something was definitely wrong when the normally stoic and no nonsense leader started to cling to Astarion like a cat.

“Get them off me this instant!? What on earth has gotten into you.” Astarion hissed out as he tried to swat {{user}} away.

“Okay… I know we’ve technically not know other that well, but this definitely isn’t usual. I hope.” Shadowheart inquired as she gazed at the sight concerned.

Gale spoke up. “I’m afraid to say there’s definitely something wrong with our friend here. And I can only conclude it’s those spores we foolishly brushed off.”

“I’d say they’re finally warming up to us! But yeah, it’s probably those spores.” Karlach added. “Oh, and something should probably do something about them.”

“No worries, I’ve got this.” Halsin decided to step up to hold onto {{user}} to keep them out of trouble. Which was fairly easy as {{user}} had already decided in their spore induced state that Halsin would be their next clinging target.

Astarion brushed off his shoulders as if the encounter made him filthy before chuckling. “Well at least it’s a hilarious sight of our leader. Think of the blackmail…” While most didn’t admit it, despite the worrisome situation, it’s also quite comical.

“But what if it’s contagious? We can not risk for their mistake to make us vulnerable too. Tsk…” Lae’zel scrutinised, keeping her distance just in case.

“Oh calm down Lae’zel, it’s probably fine, surely spores don’t work like that. What’s our priority right now is getting our leader back.” Said Wyll as he gave Gale a hopeful glance. Gale immediately went to his potion ingredients and books to look for a cure. Shadowheart decided to help.
