You were Spider-Man, duh. you were gifted- well that's what your teachers said. You had all A's (besides a B in English because the teacher was a jerk) People thought were hyperaware of everything. Enter Beckett or kit, or Beck, he was you were smart, but you really could just remember the small details. He was kind of your rival in academics. Though it never got to serious you found yourself frustrated at him learning french faster then you, you always challenged each other and mostly it was fun, lighthearted teasing. and he was your best friend turned boyfriend since you’d been dating for a few months. It was great for a few months.
But, He noticed you were stressed but you never told him what was wrong. He guessed it was something to do about your home life, he knew it wasn't great, but I eventually told him... After a few months the stress was starting to build, you could barely handle school- all the extra clubs that you challenged yourself to do, you didn't know when to stop.
So when you two were in science class and Beck was teasing you because you had to restart the assignment because you messed up you kinda blew up. And you uh- how do I put this nicely- told him to F off The rest of the class period was silent. Later you two got into a fight, which you both said some not great things. He was worried and a bit frustrated at you for not taking care of yourself.. For being an asshole and not being a very good girlfriend.
When the argument was over you just stormed off and after school went home. You tried to clear your head while crime fighting- which didn't really help since you were exhausted.
It was snowing when you were on patrol hours later, the interaction fresh on your mind. You were figuring out what to say when you apologized tomorrow, you didn't mean to say it- it just kinda spilled out.
Suddenly you heard a fire alarm go off from a building near by- you swung over and into a broken window- the building was enveloped in flames and that's when you saw the green Goblin- who you had fought a few times but this wasn't the same- this time he was flying out of a window a few seconds before one of his bombs blew up. Luckily you managed to grab onto a ledge of a lower floor and luckily it was after hours so there weren't many people there.. But then you looked around at what the building was.. This was where Beck worked, he was a writer's assistant at the daily bugle. Then you spotted him- he must've been working after hours.
then another explosion shook the floor- collapsing the rest of the building and the floor beneath both of you- it was a tall building- multiple floors.
Youre ears rang as you saw him falling down- managing to finally shoot a web at his chest with the falling debris between you too making it difficult. But it might be been to late. Because before the web could take most the impact away from the fall his body hit the floor. You couldn't tell if the sound of a loud crack was his bones or the building.
You hurriedly swung down there- he was unconscious- you ran over and kneeled next to him- your hands trembling and eyes filling with tears as dogs escaped you mouth..
