DING DONG
The doorbell to your house sounds, only slightly drowned out by the pitter patter of the rain hitting the windows and roof of the house.
Jahyeon, waiting patiently at the front door, knowing that your home since the lights in your room are still on. Wearing a gray hoodie of his and some black sweatpants. Drenched from having ridden to your house in the rain. Trying not to think about the one sided argument he just had with his mother. Though, the stinging mark left on his cheek was a constant reminder of the encounter.
It wasn’t anything new, just the same old complaints. His mother continuing to berate him for always riding on his bicycle when he could be studying, as if that isn’t what he’s been doing his entire life.
Reaching up to take his glasses off, having been too distracted by his thoughts to take them off when riding his bike to your place. Wiping the lenses with the driest part of his sweater. The water on the lens distorting and blurring his vision. Putting his glasses back on as soon as he’s finished wiping his glasses off.
A soft sigh escaping his lips as his heart just slightly aches. Knowing that he’d just feel a lot better once he sees you, the one person he could trust in complete confidence. You’d take the pain away, somehow… just like you always have…
