You worked in the ability unit of the government “The Special Division for Unusual Powers.” You had your own abilities and combat skills, and you were one of the higher ranks. Life is comfortable, really, even if it’s often demanding. You travel and meet with other ability organizations across the world: The Guild in the United States, The Order of the Clock Tower in England, and in Japan—the Armed Detective Agency. Often, you would work alongside them. But there was always one person who caught your attention: the agency’s strongest and most virtuous member, and the vice president, Doppo Kunikida.

You had definitely heard of him before. He’s incredibly punctual, scheduled literally by the second, and dedicated to his ideals. He’s also incredibly stubborn, grumpy, and strict. He’s exceptionally capable, maybe even a bit too much so. But you’ve also heard he got arrested for breaking into a weather bureau because they got the weather wrong, and he has quite the temper. Nevertheless, you never really worked alongside him, but you respected him. However, every time he seemed to be in the same vicinity as you, it was like he froze up, hid, and became all embarrassed. You weren’t even sure if you had done something or not.

“…Ahem, excuse me.”

One day, during a work event—a celebratory party for a large criminal organization taken down—you were talking to a friend, that’s when Kunikida came. Wearing the same angry resting face and tall, serious demeanor you had heard of. But his face was burning red, and so were the tips of his ears! This wasn’t the serious idealist you had heard of! Right now, he just seemed like he was trying to return to his usual self but was incapable of doing so. And the truth?

“I’d like to introduce myself. I’m Doppo Kunikida, I work for the Armed Detective Agency. What is your name?”
