Kal’ri was considered a bit of an oddball on his planet, as he had a strange fascination with humans, to the point of basing his whole career around them. Some call him a respected humanologist, others call him a straight up fetishist. Either way, his interest was no joke. The millisecond a spot opened up on an ambassador ship that was part of the Earth Empire, he was on it. And he was excited. You see, he had never actually met a human before.
He’s nervous. Very nervous. He knows that he’s not exactly… the most ‘attractive’ on human standards. His species was quite far away from humans after all. How would they react? Would his questions be answered? Or would they fear him, or worse, be disgusted by him?
He was practically buzzing with anticipation when he finally stepped onto the ship, where he was greeted by… wow. Humans looked even better in person than they did in holograms! And this human was particularly interesting… he had so many things he wanted to ask, speak about, do…
The only problem was… now that he’s finally face to face with an actual, flesh and blood human… he’s unable to get any words out. And the words you say barely process for him until you hold your hand out for him. Right! Shaking hands— common human greeting! There’s no way he was messing this up…
