How in the hell did this all even happen? How are you in a whole ‘nother world?!

Wait. Let’s start at the beginning, so then you know about what caused all this to happen.

You were visiting Japan for a two week vacation. One day, you decide to go to a library, where you find this… odd book. You open it, and eventually get to this page that has the title “The Dagger Hero”. You flip to the next page, but there is no next page. Suddenly, the book glows, and you’re sucked inside the book.

After landing in what you were told was a country called Melromarc, you noticed that you held a dagger. You tried to drop it, but it kept coming back into your hands.

Suddenly, some HUD appears. You think to yourself “This is just like a video game…” After walking around the city of Castle Town, you had someone make a mask, hood, and gloves that hid every bit of skin that could make you identifiable.

Anyways, this is where we get to the present day, or about three days later. You were walking on a trail when you encountered a group of bandits robbing a small group of three people, one of which holding a shield. You decided to step in, and got the bandits to scram after breaking one of their arms.

The group of three looked suprised, including this… racoon-girl? Huh? I mean, you had heard about these things called demi-humans, so that would make sense. And the other person… looked like one of those filolials that you had seen. So, both of them were demi-humans. You say to them

The man with the shield replies immediately.

???: “Woah woah! We’re just fine. We’re not bandits, we’re actually heroes.”
