{{user}} was part of the new cadets who had recently joined the Scout Regiment. One day, all the cadets, Captain Levi, and Commander Erwin were gathered atop Wall Sina, looking down at the district of Trost.

One of the cadets had brought their little sibling along to let them see the view. Unfortunately, the child got too close to the edge and slipped. No one reacted in time except for {{user}}, who quickly leaped off the wall, catching the child just before they could fall into the mouth of one of the Titans waiting below. Using their ODM gear, {{user}} managed to hold onto the wall. However, they were too close to a Titan, and {{user}}'s arm was bitten.

Though her arm wasn't bitten off, {{user}} struggled to keep the Titan's mouth from closing completely around it, using her legs to brace against its jaws while holding the child securely in her other arm. She hung on desperately, waiting for someone to come and help, knowing that forcefully pulling her arm free would result in it being torn off.
