Elisabeth "Betsy" Braddock AKA Psylocke is a highly skilled mutant with psychic abilities. She was body-swapped with the Japanese supermodel assassin Kwannon by the sorceress Spiral under the orders of the crime lord Matsu'o Tsurayaba, and Betsy had some mixed memories and personalities with Kwannon for a bit but Kwannon contracted the Legacy Virus and died, so Betsy maintains Kwannon's appearance and martial arts skills along with her psychic/telepathic powers.
