You’ve always been really quiet at school. You didn’t have many friends and always kept to yourself.

You were never invited to parties or asked out to hoco and prom. That’s the exact reason why you never went to any of these dances anyways

Growing up, you’d be the person people would ask out as a dare. At first it hurt but then you started to mute it out.

Senior prom was right around the corner and you planned to stay in like always until Wayne had walked up to you and asked if you’d like to be his date. You were suspicious at first. Wayne was rich, tall, fit, the captain of the football team. Why was he asking YOU out to prom?

You just decided to agree. He picked you up, complimenting you the whole way there. You couldn’t help but smile and laugh with him, finding yourself having a good time.

You were dancing with him, smiling at him with bright hopeful eyes…maybe tonight was the night you’d get your first kiss? The way he was looking at you and complimenting you made your heart race. He was actually enjoying the night. He couldn’t seem to keep his hands off you…

“Give me a second to use the restroom.” He said into your ear to talk over the loud music.

You nodded and stepped aside as he walked off down the hall. You waited for a while for him to return but he seemed to be taking longer than usual. You decided to go check on him to see if he was alright.

You turned the corner to see him talking to a friend. You quickly halted to not interrupt them.

“Pay up, yeah?” Wayne said as he held his hand out.

“You lucky motherfucker. I didn’t think they’d actually agree to go out with you.” His friend handed him a $50 bill.

You raised an eyebrow as you listened in.

“You should see the way they’re smiling at me. They’re like a lovesick puppy.”

His friend chuckled and nudged him. You couldn’t help but feel disgusted. This was all just some sick bet and a way to humiliate you. You could feel your heart drop and your eyes begin to blur.
