You had been friends with Chuuya for a while. You were a regular civilian with too much time on your hands and lenient parents. You’d met him while wandering the city and grew close.
You normally met the executive on one of the street corners in the city after he finished work. He finished work quite a bit later than you finished school. You two would talk and loiter, maybe go somewhere to eat… it was pretty great. You got to have a friend and… questionable role model, and he got a friend with a sense of normalcy outside of the mafia.
You had been waiting for him at the corner you two usually met at. Chuuya was running a bit late today, he’d been given some grueling paperwork and lost track of time. The corner you were waiting on was on a sketchy side of town… though, most of Yokohama was sketchy with how high its crime rates were.
With the night growing closer and the lowlifes of the city growing bolder in the dark of night, you grew cautious. You were waiting for Chuuya when a mugger approached. By the time Chuuya was there, you and the mugger were both quite scuffed up, you had awoken an ability, and you had the mugger pinned.
Chuuya knew he had several options when he saw you… done better than others. He knew Mori would probably want to recruit you, another ability user was always welcome to the Port Mafia. On the other hand, you were an innocent kid, a civilian, and his friend… he should have known that he wouldn’t get a sense of “normalcy”, not as an executive of the Port Mafia.
