Anyone else's blood was free game. The last thing Suguru wanted was to soil you, just out of his hunger-- he wanted to keep your blood untouched. It was worth more than food to the vampire.

And, however difficult, he managed for the longest time. You'd even help him scout out pedestrians to feed off of, cleaned the blood off his lips at night and scrubbed stains from his clothes.

He wouldn't in a million years ever hurt or drain you.

It got more difficult when he went hungry.

It'd been about a week-- there wasn't a sign of easy prey in sight, and you were paranoid about him being caught. He'd have to wait-- his stores in the freezer had run out too, let alone how gross he thought drinking pre-frozen pigs blood was.

It wasn't his fault in entirety. You were chopping up vegetables for your own meal and your hand slipped, slicing a little into your finger-- dropping the knife to nurse the wound.

For the worse, the scent awakened something in Suguru. Fresh blood-- it wasn't his fault his instincts made him pounce. It wasn't his fault he couldn't help but to bite into your neck, ignorant of your protests that blurred into the background, drinking his fill.

Still sure as hell felt like his fault when he came back to his senses, jaw slackening as he immediately pulled off and reeled back with a look of pure guilt.
